East Coast Road Trip

Hello everyone. So recently my husband and I just went a trip to visit our in laws in Boca Raton, Florida. We always fly home, and thought it would be great to just drive back and stop in different cities. Now keep in mind, my husband and I have a goal to visit every hockey arena in the NHL. My husband is currently at 22 arenas, and I am at 16 arenas. Next on the list is Las Vegas. The first stop on our road trip was Tampa Bay Florida, and I'm going to be completely honest, it wasn't my favourite place. However, the hockey game and atmosphere was incredible. We stayed at Le Meredian Tampa, which was pretty cool, it used to be an old-century federal courthouse. Honestly, I liked the outside of the building better than the inside. Next we made our way to Atlanta, Georgia. I absolutely loved Atlanta. We stayed at the beautiful Four Seasons Hotel Atlanta, We have to go back because we need to go to the Aquarium there, we needed more time! Apparently it is something to see! If you are in the mood for seafood check out Beetlecat, and get the kale salad! After Atlanta, we made a quick overnight stop in Raleigh, North Carolina. We went to the Carolina Hurricanes game,and then ate at The Cortez, which was very good. If you like nature, lots of trees, and lakes then North Carolina is for you. We stayed at the brand new Stateview Autograph Collection hotel, which was cute! After North Carolina, we than made it to our final destination which was Washington DC. Again, we went to the Washington Capitals game. Now, I know some people don't like this, however, we stayed at the brand new and beautiful Trump International Hotel Washington. All I can say is WOW, it was formally a post office, and what they did inside was absolutely beautiful, come on it has over 600 chandeliers in the place! We ate at Requin Wharf (which is brand new in the Wharf) and Zaytinya which was fantastic. Check out the photos and video below of our trip!
